Jakarta, 15 July 2025 - Guardian Indonesia has once again demonstrated its commitment to public
health through the Guardiancares social programme. Entering its third year, the programme targets 12
schools in Banten, Yogyakarta and East Java, focusing on the construction of wells and renovation of
sanitation facilities.
Collaborating with the Ministry of Health and the humanitarian organisation Human Initiative, Guardiancares not only builds infrastructure but also educates students about the importance of Clean
and Healthy Living Behaviour (CHLB). Based on data from the Ministry of Health in 2022, hundreds of
thousands of schools still lack access to clean water and proper sanitation, even though simple habits
such as washing hands with soap can prevent up to 40% of diarrhoea cases.
This programme also involves Guardian's loyal customers, who contribute through the purchase of 1
litre of Guardian bath soap, with each transaction contributing IDR 1,000 to this campaign. Since 2022,
Guardiancares has distributed more than 50,000 hygiene products and built sanitation facilities in 47
schools and clean water facilities in 2 villages.
