Hero Mini Supermarket first opened its door on August 23, 1971.
The business became a public company named PT Hero Mini Supermarket Tbk with the ticker code HERO.
The first Guardian store operated opened in Indonesia.
PT Hero Mini Supermarket Tbk changed its name to PT Hero Supermarket Tbk on June 7, 1991.
The first Giant store was launched in Villa Melati, Tangerang.
The Company conducted a Right Issue to fund the expansion and establishment of the first IKEA store in Indonesia. It successfully raised almost Rp3 trillion.
The first IKEA store in Indonesia was opened in Alam Sutera, Tangerang City.
The Company established a subsidiary named PT Rumah Mebel Nusantara with a 99.99% share ownership to operate the IKEA business in Indonesia starting January 1, 2021.
The Company focused on developing the Hero Supermarket, Guardian, and IKEA brands. It also established two subsidiaries, namely PT Distribusi Mebel Nusantara and PT Distribusi Kesehatan dan Kecantikan Nusantara to engage in wholesale trade.
